Skykiss Shop was created by Haneefah Jean Rudd, who started this store after one too many camping trips where the gear just… didn’t live up to the promise on the label. So she built something she wished existed: a small, personal online shop at skykiss.shop that treats outdoor gear the way outdoor people treat the wild — with respect, curiosity, and a bit of stubborn care.
How We Started
Skykiss Shop began as a collection of notes and half-ideas scribbled in a trail journal. We wanted a place that wasn’t trying to be the biggest outdoor retailer on the internet — just a trustworthy one. Our model is simple: tight curation, honest descriptions, and gear that we’d actually bring into the woods ourselves. We focus on everyday explorers — the hikers who sneak out after work, the cyclists who ride because it clears their head, the campers who still can’t quite master tying a tarp but keep trying anyway. If you love being outside, whether you’re new to it or knee-deep in it, you’re kind of our people.
Product Quality (and Why We Obsess Over It)
Outdoor gear can be dramatic. It’s either wonderfully reliable or it lets you down at the worst possible time. That’s why we’re picky — a little annoyingly picky, actually. Our Insulated Bottle is the star of the shop for a reason: we tested it on hot days, cold days, and on that one road trip where someone (we won’t name names) forgot it in the car for two days.
